So Window's programs open up within my Mac OS. Parallels is a similar (paid) program I use for work and it integrates Windows together with my Mac in "coherence mode". Bootcamp is a free program that comes with the Mac that allows you to install Windows and boot into it at startup. Another option would be to use a Virtual Machine (VM) to emulate Windows on the Mac. Never used it before so not sure how reliable or difficult it is to use. I've heard Wine allows you to make ports of Windows game's for Mac and it's free.
